What We Do

ACS provides a range of training opportunities, community conversations, and peer-to-peer forums designed to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and connections of nonprofits and community leaders across Howard County. Our programs create space for learning, shared problem-solving, and meaningful collaboration, helping organizations grow their capacity and deepen their impact. We also publish ACS Connections, our semi-monthly newsletter that highlights upcoming events—both ours and our members’—as well as advocacy updates, funding opportunities, and other information relevant to the nonprofit community. Click here to subscribe.

ACS offers customized training for staff and board members on topics such as board governance, fund development, proposal writing, and Results Based Accountability. Contact us at info@acshoco.org for more information.

In addition, ACS implements HoCo Excel, Howard County’s Nonprofit Excelerator program, and provides management services for the NonProfit Collaborative, the county’s nonprofit center.
