A Long-Term Investment in Howard County's Nonprofit Community

Moments like this are a powerful example of what’s possible when government and nonprofits work side by side.

Howard County Executive Calvin Ball joined us at the NonProfit Collaborative (NPC) to announce that he has filed legislation with the Howard County Council to renew Howard County Government’s agreement to provide a rent subsidy for the NPC’s nonprofit tenants for another 10 years. That support reduces overhead, giving nonprofits the stability and capacity to grow programs, expand services, and serve more people across Howard County.

For the first time in a decade, the NPC is also seeking to expand its size, making it home to more nonprofits and further strengthening collaboration and broadening impact throughout the community.

This is what it looks like when public investment removes barriers and empowers nonprofits to focus on what they do best: serving people.
